Watershed Management Plan
The final version of the Tay River Watershed Management Plan (the Plan) was released in May, 2002. The Plan is a comprehensive look at one of the most significant tributaries of the Rideau River. The community spent thousands of volunteer hours studying the issues, engaging the experts, debating the merits and devising the strategies for improving the long term health of the lakes, creeks, wetlands, forests and wildlife habitats in the the watershed. This report is the Tay’s roadmap to watershed health and the primary focus of the FoTW. Stakeholder meetings are held each year or so to review the progress on the major objectives contained in the Plan.
